Ashgate Road

Ashgate Road is our smallest allotment site with just nine plots.  This hidden gem can be found off the track that runs behind the houses in Ashgate Road.  Further along the same track are the Wordsworth Drive allotments.

Facilities

There are no toilet facilities on this site

Soil type

Much of the surrounding low-lying area is marshland.  The soil parent material is alluvium: clay, silts, sand and gravel, with a soil texture of peaty clay.  Although fairly free-draining, this does cause some areas of the site to become waterlogged in very wet winters.

There is no parking available on this site although it is possible to unload your car and accept deliveries outside the gate
