Allotments are traditionally measured in rods with one rod being equivalent to roughly 25 square metres.  The average size of one of our allotments is 5 rods which currently costs £68.67 annually.  When taking on a plot you would also pay a £65.00 refundable deposit, £10.00 key deposit, and £10.00 joining fee for our society.

Please complete the Allotment Application and submit it, together with proof of Eastbourne residence, to the Allotment Office in Gorringe Road. 

You can choose to erect a shed, greenhouse and/or polytunnel on your plot within specified size limits.  Please ask in the office for a structure application form.   It is also possible to keep hens, rabbits and bees on your plot.  EAGS guidelines must be adhered to. 

All of our allotment sites are presently full, however, there is a constant turnover of plots so the sooner you make your application the sooner your name will be at the top of the list!
